From September 4 to 7, 2018, the “International Conference on Diagnostics in Electrical Engineering” took place in Pilsen, Czech Republic. The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences was represented by Prof. Kornhuber and Dr. Kittan from the Department of High-Voltage Engineering, Materials, and Theoretical Electrical Engineering. The researchers presented the latest project results on the diagnosis of power transformers.
The conference was attended by over 80 participants from various countries. This year’s key topics—laboratory diagnostic methods, on-site testing of electrical equipment, properties of electrical insulation systems and structural changes, advanced diagnostic methods, theoretical methods and models, condition monitoring, and electrical machines and equipment—were the focus of a wide range of presentations and poster sessions. In addition to the technical program, the conference featured an interesting cultural program and was marked by a lively scientific exchange.
The project “Condition Assessment of Power and Distribution Transformers in Electrical Power Engineering (Smart Grid – Smart Monitoring)” is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the “Research at Universities of Applied Sciences in Collaboration with Industry (FHprofUnt)” funding program (SC03FH026PB5).
