German scholarships for the 2019/2020 academic year

The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences has been participating in the Deutschlandstipendien program since 2011. In the 2018/2019 winter semester, 15 scholarships were awarded to students from various degree courses at our university.

For the 2019/2020 academic year, we have already received commitments to support students at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences by co-financing one or more Deutschlandstipendium scholarships.

You can apply in writing (not by email) by July 31, 2019 (postmark), enclosing the following application documents, to the Rector, Prof. Dr. phil. Friedrich Albrecht, (Theodor-Körner-Allee 16, 02763 Zittau) for a Deutschlandstipendium scholarship:

• a letter of motivation of no more than two pages
• a curriculum vitae in tabular form
• the certificate of higher education entrance qualification; in the case of foreign certificates, a translation that can be transferred to the German system and converted into the German grading system
• if applicable, proof of a special qualification that entitles the applicant to study in the respective degree program at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences
• for applicants for a place on a Master's degree course, the certificate of a first university degree and, if applicable, other certificates of achievement in accordance with the admission and selection regulations for the Master's degree course
• Proof of previous academic achievements, if applicable
• If applicable, internship and work references as well as proof of special awards and prizes, other knowledge and other commitments

If the application documents are not written in German or English, an officially certified translation into German must be enclosed.

Applications must be submitted for the degree program in which enrollment has taken place or has been applied for.

Applications can be submitted to the Rector's Office (Building Z I, Room 1.56).

The regular approval period covers one academic year (01.09.2019 - 31.08.2020). The monthly funding amount is €300.

Applications not submitted in due time and form will not be considered in the selection process. The basis for the application is the regulations on the awarding of Deutschlandstipendien dated June 28, 2011.
