Project Associate (m/f/d) — Reference: L&T Alliance —

initially for a fixed term until July 29, 2023 . The incumbent intends to take parental leave following the end of the fixed term; accordingly, an extension of employment until July 31, 2024, is planned.

The HSZG is stepping up its efforts to strengthen technology transfer to the business sector and regional society. To this end, an alliance was formed as part of the joint project “Lausitz – Life and Technology,” an alliance was established in which technological and social innovations in the research fields of additive manufacturing, networked storage technologies, and attractive educational, work, and living environments are advanced and implemented through the collaboration of over 75 regional stakeholders.

The job responsibilities of the position holder (m/f/d) include establishing the alliance’s innovation management system and further developing the alliance’s management structure, in particular:

  • Further developing sustainable network structures within the alliance (such as recruiting new alliance partners, conducting needs assessments, and organizing and carrying out joint, topic-specific event formats),
  • Communicating with alliance partners, particularly regarding innovation management, and strengthening communication both within the network and externally (e.g., newsletters, trade show appearances, digital tools),
  • Support for project work, integration, and cluster formation, including raising the visibility of project results and developing new project approaches, as well as
  • Evaluation of the organizational structure and coordination with the strategy development team to ensure the alliance’s long-term sustainability.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • a completed university degree (Bachelor, university of applied sciences Diplom) in the fields of economics or the humanities,
  • relevant professional experience in networking, project management, and public relations in the field of research and development
  • Experience with conceptual and organizational development in the field of research and development
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as organizational talent,
  • creativity, and an interdisciplinary mindset.

In addition, the following are desirable:

  • experience with research and development projects in higher education,
  • broad knowledge of the (Upper) Lausitz region, its economic and social geography, and the landscape of its stakeholders,
  • knowledge and experience in writing editorial content, using common social media tools and WordPress, as well as
  • practical English language skills.

If the candidate meets the personal qualifications, compensation will be in Pay Grade 11 of the TV-L collective bargaining agreement. The primary place of work is Zittau.
