Rajesh from India is enthusiastic. In the campus talk hello@hszg, he talks about his best experience at the HSZG.
Rajesh Sriram comes from India and recently completed his Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. The 23-year-old is sponsored by the Indo German Center For Higher Education. The IGCHE is an association of German universities. The organization has begun to establish a series of German-language Bachelor's programmes with universities from India. The Indo-German universities and degree programs serve to promote cultural exchange and, above all, to strengthen economic relations between Germany and India. Our university has been a member of IGCHE since 2010 with its Bachelor's degree programs in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science.
All those who participate in the IGCHE program are first offered extensive additional language training in their home country. After successful completion and three years of study, students continue their academic education in Germany. Students on IGCHE programs can expect a foreign but exciting new culture.
Rajesh successfully passed his exams in his home country and was able to come to Zittau a year ago. He was a little lonely at first. The foreign culture, no one to play cricket with, far away from everything he knew. Today, Rajesh has good friends in Zittau with whom he plays volleyball and studies for his exams.
The outstanding opportunities of this project include a strong focus on German language qualifications and a high practical orientation. Intensive German language training enables the candidates to complete their 4th year of study in Germany. As part of the German study program, students attend German language courses and complete their internship in a German company, which is preferably combined with a practice-oriented Bachelor's thesis.
Three more Indian students are currently studying at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with the IGCHE program. In the new video series hello@hszg, the Public Relations Office met Rajesh for a short interview. Under the title hello@hszg , short and informative campus talks are conducted. Under the hashtag #helloathszg posts from the series will also appear on Instagram and Facebook.
Rajesh will be staying in Germany for the time being. He is doing his Master's in Hanover.
Congratulations, Rajesh!
