On December 2, the CityCenter in Görlitz offered the opportunity to experience fundamental disability as part of the Studium fundamentale.
On December 2, 2017, the Frauentor CityCenter in Görlitz was the place to experience disability. Five students from the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences from the Studium fundamentaleAndrea Rensinghoff, an occupational therapist from Witten, and lecturer Dr. phil. Carsten Rensinghoff from Witten offered a one-handed breakfast. In this way, the situation of people with hemiplegia, e.g. after a stroke, could be experienced.
Visitors were also able to experience perceptual disorders by drawing a star in a mirror box. The star was only seen in the mirror. The organizers were delighted with the high level of participation. Many thanks go to the management of the Frauentor CityCenter, the Sternenbäck bakery for donating bread rolls and the Niesky diabetics' self-help group for butter and jam.
