A project team from the Curative Education/Inclusion Studies degree program wants to help wheelchair users with mobile ramps.
Anyone who lives and studies in Görlitz will notice how beautiful the old town of Görlitz actually is: old buildings with intricate decorations from earlier times. But at second glance, it is noticeable that the vast majority of buildings are only accessible via one step.
This problem affects many stores, cafés and restaurants in Görlitz's old town around the Ober- & Untermarkt. This makes it difficult for people with limited mobility who rely on a wheelchair, baby carriage or walking frame to visit these places.
The project team from the Curative Education / Inclusion Studies course led by Paula Dathe, Anne Kotzam and André Neutag have recognized this problem and want to remedy it. Remedy means: With mobile ramps, which every employee can assemble and dismantle without difficulty, it is possible for everyone to get into the store.
