On the trail of Morty's Mysteries

Spin-off from Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences on the road to success. The Morty’s Mysteries startup team wins silver at the 2022 LEX Lausitz Startup Competition.

Happy and grateful, Britta Werksnis from the Morty’s Mysteries team talks about her journey. “Being on the podium at this year’s LEX makes us overjoyed. The timing couldn’t have been better; we’re launching our first game, ‘The Murder of the Castaway,’ on Halloween—October 31, 2022—and now we’re even more excited! We owe our success and having come this far not least to the wonderful, supportive people in Görlitz and Saxony who have stood by us with advice and assistance—such as the Start-up Academy at Zittau University of Applied Sciences/Görlitz, whose guidance and mentoring played a crucial role in developing our idea, futureSAX, and the Dresden and Görlitz Chambers of Commerce and Industry, which are fantastic points of contact for organizational, training, and startup-related questions! Britta Werksnis is a licensed psychologist, a state-certified actress, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in “culture and management” at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. She has gained experience in business psychology, as a team-builder, and in theater, among other fields. At Morty’s Mysteries, she is responsible for creative direction, advertising, sales, and HR.

Looking ahead, the startup hopes to bring even more fun, games, and interactive mystery adventures to all areas of life.
