Accreditation of studies and teaching - The HSCG exchanges information with the quality assurance department of Ilya State University.
As part of an exchange program with Ilja State University (Tbilisi, Georgia), funded by ERASMUS+, Ms. Maka Lashkhia spent a week at the HSZG at the beginning of December. Ms. Maka Lashkhia is Head of the Quality Assurance Department at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, where around 7,000 students are enrolled on 56 degree programmes. The Faculty of Arts and Sciences is the largest of four faculties at Ilya State University with a total of 20,000 students.
The focus of the exchange was on getting to know each other's country-specific quality assurance systems in the area of study and teaching. One particular focus here was on the accreditation procedure for degree programs, which has been mandatory for all Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral degree programs in Georgia since 2021. The HSZG was also able to pass on its experience of internal teaching evaluation. Here, the llja State University (Georgia) is still in the development phase of the student survey and expressed its thanks for the very lively exchange in dealing with software-supported survey tools and in particular with online surveys.
Ms Lashkhia also attended courses at the Görlitz site and discussed operational aspects of the cooperation between the two partner universities with Dr. Kühne and Dr. Koutkova from the Department of Studies and International Affairs.
