On December 20, certificates were awarded to HSZG students as part of the iTN seminar series "Science and Practice".
During the winter semester, around 20 students from the Ecology and Environmental Protection course regularly took part in lectures and workshops as part of the environmental engineering seminar "Science & Practice" . Speakers from the TU Bergakademie Freiberg, the HTW in Dresden, the TU Dresden (ihi), the TU Liberec, the Charles University in Prague and company representatives provided the students with in-depth specialist knowledge. Practical examples, measurement technology and the use of simulation software were used to familiarize the students with what they had learned.
After successfully completing the 10 iTN seminars, the students received their certificates on December 20, 2016. These were presented at a ceremony by Prof. Schoenherr, the TESEUS project manager.
These events were organized as part of the TESEUS project project by the SN-CZ 2014-2020 - EU program for the promotion of cross-border cooperation between the Free State of Saxony and the Czech Republic.
The main objective of the TESEUS project is to bring together different areas of expertise in order to create the conditions for improved use of regional environmental resources. The events take place at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences at the Institute for Process Development, Peat and Natural Materials Research (iTN) under the project management of Prof. Schoenherr. Other project partners are the Dresden University of Applied Sciences, the Technická univerzita v Liberci and the Univerzita Karlova, Praha.
