Cordula Lasner-Tietze, Equal Opportunities Officer at the Faculty of Social Sciences, invited students and teaching staff to a small, atmospheric Christmas carol sing-along in the Blue Box on the Görlitz campus on December 17, 2025.

It wasn't about perfect voices or great performances. We weren't looking for mastersingers, but for anyone who enjoyed singing together. And many accepted the invitation: Students and teaching staff came together to sing well-known Christmas carols in a relaxed atmosphere and celebrate the end of the year together.

The faculty bid a musical farewell to the Christmas vacations - with lightness, a sense of community and a good mood. "We will now take this joy with us into 2026 and get off to a flying start," Cordula Lasner-Tietze is convinced.
