This year's edition of the traditional workshop took place in Zittau from November 27 to 28, 2025. As usual, the workshop was attended by experts, representatives of companies and authorities from Germany and the Czech Republic. This year's edition had almost 100 participants and a total of 15 specialist presentations. Experts from Germany, the Czech Republic and, somewhat unusually, Mongolia were welcomed as speakers.
Letošní ročník tradičního workshopu se konal 27.-28.11.2025 v Žitavě. Workshopu se tradičně účastinili odborníci, zástupci firem a úřadů z Německa i z Čech. Letošní ročník čítal téměř 100 účastníku a celkem 15 odborných přednášek. Jako přednášející přivítal odborníky z Německa, Česka a trochu netradičně i Mongolska.
The workshop was opened each year by its founders Prof. Jürgen Schoenherr, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, and Doc. Jan Šembera, Technická univerzita v Liberci, together with the director of the ZIRKON Institute, Prof. Jens Friedrich.
The program was traditionally dedicated to two areas - the circular economy and landfilling. Thematically, it was divided into several main areas.
Workshop každoročně uvedli jeho zakladatelé Prof. Jürgen Schoenherr, Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz a Doc. Jan Šembera, Technická univerzita v Liberci, společně s ředitelem institutu ZIRKON Prof. Jensem Friedrichem.
Program se tradičně věnoval dvěma oblastem - oběhovému hospodářství a skládkování. Tématicky byl rozdělen do několika nosných okruhů.
The presentations covered topics such as legislation, international ESG standards, alternative energy sources and the development of sustainable products and processes in the fields of bioengineering, textiles and gastronomy.
Přednášky zahrnovaly legislativní témata, mezinárodní stadardy ESG, obnovitelné zdroje energie a vývoj udržitelných produktů a procesů v oborech bioinženýrství, textilií nebo gastronomie.
The main topic of this block provided a comprehensive overview of European standards and government regulations in Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland. Topics such as radioactive waste, radioactivity in waste and technical requirements for the storage of this waste were discussed.
Nosné téma tohoto bloku přineslo ucelený legislativní pohled evropských norem, jakož i státních nařízení Německa, Česka a Polska. Byla diskutována témata radioaktivních odpadů, radioactivity v odpadech a technické požadavky na skladování těěchto odpadů.
The balancing of the composition of mixed municipal waste in connection with the implemented measures, fees, advance payments and waste sorting was presented on the basis of many years of analysis and experience from Germany and the Czech Republic.
Bilancování skladby směsného komunálního odpadu v návaznosti na provedená opatření, poplatky, zálohování a třídění odpadů bylo předneseno ze strany německých i českých dlouholetých analýz a zkušeností.
As part of the "Open Research Institute Day", we also made the laboratory for mechanical process engineering / environmental and recycling technology accessible to the workshop participants. The tour was led by Prof. Jens Friedrich and also included practical demonstrations of sorting technologies.
V rámci "Open Research Institute Day" jsme zpřístupnili Laboratoř mechanických procesních technologií / environmentální a recyklační techniky i účastníkům workshopu. Prohlídku vedl Prof. Jens Friedrich a její součástí byly i praktické ukázky třidicích technologií.
As every year, an evening event with a specialist discussion was an integral part of the workshop. Over a good meal, the participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas informally and develop new opportunities for cooperation between Germany and the Czech Republic. The evening event took place in the Wirthaus zur Weinau restaurant in Zittau.
Jako každý rok byl nedílnou součástí workshopu společenský večer s odbornou diskuzí. Účastníci tak mohli neformálně diskutovat u dobrého jídla a rozvíjet tak nové možnosti spolupráce napříč německým a českým prostředím. Společenský večer se konal v restauraci Wirthaus zur Weinau v Žitavě.
