Handing over the baton
The IPM Institute Council unanimously elects Prof. Tobias Zschunke as its new director.
With Prof. Dr. Alexander Kratzsch’s transition to the office of Rector of the HSZG, he is stepping down from his position as Director of the Institute for Process Engineering, Process Automation, and Measurement Technology. On Tuesday, February 4, the groundwork was laid for the institute’s future leadership.
Just in time for the start of spring on March 1, Prof. Dr. Tobias Zschunke will take over the reins. He was nominated in advance by the project leaders and stood for election as a candidate. With all members present, the Institute Council elected him with a vote of 9 out of 9. Prof. Zschunke is a long-standing member of the IPM and has now been entrusted with a three-year term.
