Begin 13. September 2025 - Ganztägig
End 13. September 2025 - Ganztägig

The Future Festival is the culmination of the series of participation formats of the first cycle of the "Youth Vision Action" and "Jugend bewegt Region - Region bewegt Jugend" (JuBReg) projects. The festival will take place on September 13, 2025 as part of the Hoyerswerda City Festival on the premises of the Zuse Computer Museum and the adjacent area. There, YVA will present the artistic works and formats created in the first project cycle, in which young people have processed their concerns and wishes as well as their view of and visions for the future of the region, and invites them to exchange ideas and talk together.

The festival program starts at 12 noon with the opening, followed by a concert by the Future Camp Band. Throughout the day, a sound installation by HSZG social work students, the "Stadtblicke" exhibition and stop-motion films by young people will be presented in the YVA Gallery.

The first performance by the Dragon of Chance will follow at 13:00 , before the Office of Change opens at 13:15 and introduces the trilingual panel discussion on the topic of co-determination. Here, young people will discuss the topic of youth participation together with decision-makers and practitioners.

The program continues in the afternoon with further performance acts and concerts. The evening brings further highlights: At 7 pm, the performance Dragon of Change will perform again, followed by the concert by Lares Plantas & Ella Vallue at 7:15 pm. Later, at 9 pm, Josi & Alex will take to the stage.

With this mixture of concerts, performances, theater, exhibitions, film screenings and dialogue formats, the Future Festival combines artistic expression and social exchange. It shows how young people not only observe the region, but actively help to shape it and put their visions of the future up for public discussion.
