Self-determined life in old age

through artificial intelligence and assistance systems in the home

Begin 01. July 2024 - 09:37 Uhr
End 02. July 2024 - 16:00 Uhr
City Görlitz and Zittau

The AAL Lab at the GAT Institute, in collaboration with our partners at ScaDS.AI in Leipzig, is hosting a theme day on the use of artificial intelligence and assistive technologies in buildings and apartments for older adults.

The theme day “Independent Living in Old Age Through Artificial Intelligence and Home Assistance Systems” will take place on July 1, 2024, in Görlitz and on July 2, 2024, in Zittau, and is aimed at seniors, their family members and friends, as well as representatives from the fields of senior care and nursing. It offers interesting presentations and practical insights into the potential applications of assistive technology and artificial intelligence for independent living in one’s own apartment or building.

How will we live in old age? What assistive technologies are available to help us remain in our own homes for as long as possible, despite potential physical or mental limitations? And where is there a need for further technological development?

The AAL Lab in Görlitz is dedicated to these and other exciting questions and, together with ScaDS.AI from Leipzig, invites you to a theme day in Görlitz and Zittau.

Join us for coffee and cake as we take you on a journey into the digital world and discuss the opportunities and limitations of digital assistive systems for older adults.
