SAXFUSION Workshop "Introduction to Nuclear Fusion—Fundamentals and Research Prospects"

Nuclear fusion is considered a promising option for a sustainable, emission-free energy future capable of providing baseload power. The SAXFUSION workshop offers a concise introduction to the fundamentals of nuclear fusion and current research perspectives. It is aimed at university staff, students, and interested professionals, and includes an introductory lecture followed by an opportunity for technical discussion.

The workshop is an event organized by the Saxon competence network SAXFUSION, which strategically builds expertise in nuclear fusion in Saxony and promotes the transfer of knowledge between research, industry, and society.
