Lecture series: The new emergency representation law for spouses in health care matters

A comprehensive reform of care law came into force on January 1, 2023.
In view of an increasingly ageing society and the resulting increase in the costs of care proceedings, an emergency right of representation between spouses in the area of healthcare, which has been discussed for many years, was also introduced.
The lecture explains the details of the new regulation and also addresses the practical implementation difficulties. The question of whether it still makes sense to draw up a living will or health care proxy will also be discussed.
