As part of the event jointly organized by Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and SAENA, we are bringing together representatives from municipalities, energy utilities, planning firms, software solution providers, and research institutions. The goal of the event is to provide participants with an overview of commercial software¹ and alternative solutions for municipal heat planning, and to discuss the legal framework for assessing needs and potential.

When: Thursday, March 21, 2024, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Program:

9:00 a.m. Welcome and opening remarks with a brief introduction

9:15 a.m. Presentation by SAENA on the framework conditions for assessing needs and potential (as well as the current status of municipal heat planning), introduction to SAENA’s KWP Service Center, including discussion

10:00 a.m. Presentation by Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences on open-source applications and in-house developments for creating neighborhood concepts, featuring the “Celsiuz” Co-Creation Lab, including a discussion

10:45 a.m. 15-minute break

11:00 a.m. ENEKA software solution from ENEKA Energie & Karten GmbH

12:00 p.m. Lunch break

1:00 p.m. The “greenventory” software solution from greenventory GmbH

2:00 p.m. 10-minute break

2:10 p.m. gaia/enersis software solution from enersis Europe GmbH

3:10 p.m. Summary & end of the event

 

The three sessions on the software solutions¹ are structured as follows:

» Approx. 30 min: Presentation of the company and the software with a live demo

» Approx. 20 min: Experience report from a planner/municipality regarding the presented software solution

» Approx. 10 min: Discussion and initial exchange
