Counter-reading: Literature in dialog - critical, contemporary, collaborative

On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 7:30 pm, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz invite you to the next edition of the "Gegenlektüre" series. Writer Lukas Rietzschel and sociologist Prof. Raj Kollmorgen will meet in the foyer café of the GHT Görlitz to critically discuss new literature with the audience. In an open and engaging discussion, they will present current fiction and popular science books to each other - and reflect on their impressions, objections and questions. The topics include essayistic texts about growing social egoism, finely composed stories about language and proximity, theses on the ecological end of capitalism and existential reflections from the perspective of astronauts in space. The event offers space for shared reading, critical discussion and lively exchange with the audience!
