The use of renewable raw materials for material and energy purposes remains a highly topical issue and is more important than ever for achieving climate policy goals, sustainable production, the substitution of fossil and thus finite energy sources, as well as for the use of new materials. At this conference, which has been established for nearly 25 years, speakers from industry, research, politics, and associations will inform their audience about particularly current, practical, and scientific topics. The panel discussion is an equally integral part of the event. In addition, participants will have the opportunity for a comprehensive exchange of experiences not only during the conference but also at an evening get-together. For the first time, there will be a partnership with the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, aimed at consolidating the previously parallel and thematically similar conferences in Central Germany. In the future, the venue will alternate between Dresden and Zittau on a biennial basis, with each event focusing on the specific themes of “Bioeconomy 3.0” and “Biomass to Power and Heat.” This opens the conference to an international audience and welcomes guests from neighboring countries in particular.
The 24th Symposium "Use of Renewable Raw Materials – Bioeconomy 3.0" will take place on March 21–22, 2019, at the IHD Dresden Conference Center.
