The HSZG’s research focus on “Transformation Processes in Business and Society,” SCHKOLA Freier Schulträgerverein e.V., and the Alliance for the Future of Upper Lusatia invite you to a lecture by neurobiologist Prof. Dr. Gerald Hüther on the topic: Education in the Age of Globalization and Digitalization on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. (Doors open at 4:00 p.m.) at the Kulturbrauerei Görlitz.
We are living in an exciting moment in history: The achievements of modern science, business, and society are enabling people more than ever to freely and creatively realize their potential.
At the same time, the ecological, social, and psychological shadows of modernity call for a “Great Transformation,” the necessity of which is now also recognized by political and scientific elites.
Various initiatives and movements are exploring this sustainable future for humanity and the Earth, the economy, society, and culture. Some are developing ecological or digital technologies; others are researching social innovations; and still others are exploring the necessary profound cultural and spiritual changes. However, these movements are mostly divided from one another, and the necessary synergy among all these innovations has so far been largely elusive.
Therefore, we invite stakeholders from these various approaches to a “Meetup—Future.” The following events will also take place as part of the Meetup:
- Friday, April 13: “Thinking Ahead” Hike (with Gerald Hüther and others)
- Saturday, April 14, 10 a.m. through Sunday, April 15, 3 p.m.: Future Workshop at LebensGut Pommritz
