Gerald Hüther in Görlitz

In the following video you can relive the lecture by neurobiologist Prof. Dr. Hüther.

Prof. Dr. Gerald Hüther is a neurobiologist and well-known author of numerous popular science books. His book *Every Child Is Gifted* can be found on bookshelves all over the world today. Hüther is one of Germany’s most renowned brain researchers. He was born in Gotha in 1951, studied in Leipzig, and earned his doctorate in Jena before moving to the Max Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine in Göttingen. Gerald Hüther is primarily interested in early experiences in human life and their influence on brain development, which includes, above all, emotional reactions such as fear and stress. Hüther publishes his findings not only for the scientific community but also in non-fiction books that are good for laypeople to read.

On April 12, the 3rd SCHKOLA Education Congress, the “Transformation Processes” research cluster at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, and Ideenfluss e.V. hosted an event at the Kulturbrauerei Görlitz. There, Hüther gave a presentation to an audience of hundreds on “Education in the Age of Globalization and Digitalization: How Can Schools and Universities Overcome the New Challenges?” In the following video, you can watch the presentation again.
