Eleven students from Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences received German-Russian study certificates for their active participation in the "International Week Kostroma 2017" in Russia on September 15. The joint study certificate with a focus on "Intercultural Understanding" was awarded for the second time. The cooperation partners are the Institute of Humanities and Social Technologies at Kostroma State University and the Studium fundamentale at the HSZG.
Those responsible are Prof. Dr. Olga Pankratowa, lecturer Dr. Tamara Denisowa (both Kostroma State University) as well as Hon. Prof. Dr. Klaus Werner and Frank Schneider (both HSZG).
Since 2011, German students in the Studium fundamentale have been taking part in an intercultural summer school in Kostroma. For more than ten years, the two universities have maintained a wide range of academic relationships as part of a university partnership. As a concrete result of the summer school, one HSZG student intends to spend a semester abroad in Kostroma and in May 2018, several Russian students will once again come to the HSZG for a complementary study event.
The Kostroma State University reported on its website.
The project is funded by the DAAD with funds from the Federal Foreign Office (AA).
