VISIONS FOR THE FUTURE2015

On Saturday, May 23, the ZUKUNFTSVISIONEN 2015 will kick off a week of art and culture.

On Saturday, May 23, the doors of the former "Hotel VierJahreszeiten" will open again after 14 years and the ZUKUNFTSVISIONEN2015 will kick off a week of art and culture for the ninth time.

After a champagne reception from 7 p.m., Dr. Arendt from the Saxon State Ministry of Science and the Arts, representing patron Dr. Eva-Maria Stange, will address the guests at 8 p.m. Afterwards, the Adriano Celentano Pastry Orchestra will revive the good times of Italian pop music and ask them to dance.

The following week, 15 artists from Germany and all over the world will present their works of contemporary art.

The exhibition will be open daily from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm.

The exhibiting artists are: Christoph Medicus, Hannah Sieben, J. Michael Birn, Duane Bahia Benatti, Luigi Di Bella, Christin Holler, Katharina Heubner & Susan Helen Miller, Yasmin Alt, Adam de Neige, Tae gon Kim, Stephanie Hannah, Ariane Trümper, Ya-Wen Fu, The Guts Company. A variety of creative workshops will also be offered during the festival week - from crocheting and knitting to programming visualizations or producing electronic music.

The "ZUKUNFTSVISIONEN2015 - Festival for Contemporary Art" is a project with the vision of revitalizing unused space in Görlitz. Since 2007, students from the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences have been volunteering with passion and creativity to openly address vacant spaces in Görlitz.
