We mourn the loss of Mrs. Dipl.-Math. Julia Renger

We are saddened to announce the death of Julia Renger.

We are saddened to announce that our long-time colleague and university lecturer Julia Renger has passed away. She passed away far too early on February 18, 2021, after bravely enduring an illness.

In Ms. Renger, we have lost a valued colleague and committed employee who worked for the university beyond the boundaries of her faculty. The Diplom mathematician worked as a laboratory engineer at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. She was particularly appreciated by colleagues for her diligent and reliable work, which she carried out in the background as a programmer with great expertise, but also for her respectful and friendly approach to everyone. She always had an open ear for students' questions. In her classes / courses, her logical approach and didactic skills enabled her to present even complicated issues in an understandable way.

As a representative for severely disabled people, she campaigned for their interests at the university for many years and also participated in a number of appointment procedures in this capacity.

We mourn the loss of an open and committed colleague who was admired for her fighting spirit and human qualities. We keep her in honorable memory.

Our condolences go to her family and relatives.
