Winter school in sunny Mexico
HSZG students discover Mexico during the mdhk winter school in Querétaro: insights into culture, campus life and international cooperation.
From February 15 to March 1, 2026, six professors and 90 students from Germany traveled to Mexico to participate in the Winter School mdhk 2026 of the Tecnológico de Monterreynot far from Mexico City. The aim of the trip, organized by the German University Consortium for International Cooperation (DHIK), was to gain a variety of impressions of local university life, experience Mexican culture, cuisine and history up close and gain new perspectives on international exchange. The participating students also took the opportunity to find out in detail about the possibility of a double degree. In addition, the program offered exciting insights into economic structures and contacts with local companies.
We established good relationships with the local faculty and the International Office. We were also able to present the gifts from the university. The mdhk 2026 Winter School was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Students from 37 German universities can submit applications for this extraordinary program every year. The winter school in Mexico takes place annually and requires a participation fee of 1,000 euros (as of 2026). Participants must cover their own airfare, but the fee includes lodging, most meals, and a varied, exciting, and unforgettable on-site program. In preparation for the program, information sessions are offered to answer any questions about the schedule, course content, and academic opportunities.
