City of Zittau and Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences organize photo competition for Environment Day 2019
The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences has been successfully organizing an "Environment Day" since 2000, with a different theme each year. Since 2010, this has been organized and carried out in close cooperation with the city of Zittau. Our aim is to bring together Zittau and Görlitz as well as the region, its people and economy in order to draw attention to joint sustainable development in various areas and to enter into an exchange. This year, the "Day of the Environment" will take place in Zittau on November 13 (Görlitz on November 14). The theme will be the forest in climate change under the motto "WaldMeister". We are calling for a themed photo competition to mark the day.
Call for photos - "Forest beauty vs. forest damage"
For the "WaldMeister" environmental day on November 13/14, 2019, we are looking for your most beautiful and frightening photos of our regional forests and woody plants from the district of Görlitz.
Digital photos (taken by a natural person) can be submitted:
(*showing forest flora (e.g. trees, shrubs, flowering plants, mushrooms) and/or forest fauna (e.g.
deer, wild boars, squirrels) at different times of the day and year, after storm damage,
bark beetle infestation, lightning strike, forest fire, etc.).
The Environment Day organization team will decide on the 20 most impressive
photos, which will then be printed and exhibited. The 20 winners
will be notified by email approximately 14 days after the closing date. The 20 winning photos
will be exhibited at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences on Environment Day and after
Environment Day in a traveling exhibition at various locations in Zittau and Görlitz
