The HSZG recommends the Master's degree program "Integrated Management Systems" to interested parties.
The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is offering a Master's degree course in integrated management systems. Training for the second enrolment year of this still "fresh" course will begin in the coming summer semester on March 7, 2016. The application deadline is February 26, 2016.
More and more companies are required to have certified management systems in order to meet customer or legal requirements. Students on the "Integrated Management Systems" Master's degree course deal with the requirements of quality, environmental, energy and occupational health and safety management systems and look at how companies can optimize their processes in these areas by integrating these management systems.
"We are targeting graduates with a seven-semester degree in natural sciences, environmental sciences or (business) engineering who want to deepen their specialist knowledge from their Bachelor's or Diplom degree and add management, methodological and social skills," says Professor Jana Brauweiler, course director of the three-semester Master's degree course.
The concept of this unique course is a success. A close network of companies has already been established in the first year of the course. During their studies, students work on projects in regional companies, e.g. on the further development of quality and environmental management systems in accordance with the new ISO standards or on the optimization of an energy report. Contacts are made at so-called "IMS breakfasts", where students and company representatives meet to exchange experiences and agree on joint projects.
"The response from the industry to this course has been consistently positive so far and reflects the need for experts in this field in practice," says Jana Brauweiler.
The areas of employment after graduation are diverse: management representative in companies, responsible for planning and approval procedures in companies and authorities, as a consultant, expert, expert witness.
