Training at the HSZG has a good reputation. Word of this has spread as far as Asia. In future, even more Vietnamese students should therefore be given the opportunity to study in Zittau or Görlitz. As a basis for this, bilateral framework agreements have been concluded with Hong Duc University (HDU) in Thanh Hoa and the Vietnamese National University (VNU) in Hanoi.
The documents signed by the rectors were exchanged during a visit to Vietnam by Prof. Frank Worlitz (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science). During his stay, Prof. Worlitz took the opportunity to provide information about the HSZG and to discuss initial details of the planned project with the President and Vice President of the HDU and the responsible deans.
The schedule also included a meeting with the head of the DAAD branch office in Hanoi. The DAAD representative welcomed the project as an important initiative and one of the first of its kind in Vietnam.
The project will start with the following courses
- electrical engineering
- computer science
- Ecology and environmental protection
- tourism management
- Mechatronics
If the project is successful, other courses of study are also conceivable.
A lot of work awaits us now. If everything goes as planned, the first students from this program will be able to start their studies at the HSZG next year.
