Extensive cooperation agreed

The rectors of Saint Petersburg State University of Economics, Prof. Dr. Igor A. Maximtsev, and the University of Zittau/Görlitz, Prof. Dr. Friedrich Albrecht, signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement extending through 2020.

Prof. Dr. Clemens Renker, the cooperation officer on behalf of HSZG, also organized and coordinated the UNECON delegation’s cooperation visit with the presidents and academic colleagues from the University of Bamberg, the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences, and the Technical University of Munich.

The agreement with Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences aims to deepen and broaden the long-standing contacts—particularly those of the Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering Management under Dean Prof. Dr. Mario Straßberger—in the joint development, mediation, and transfer of knowledge in the fields of banking and financial services, marketing, and energy economics.

According to the latest rankings, UNECON—with currently 67,000 students majoring in Business Administration and Engineering Management—is among Russia’s leading universities.

Given the great importance of the cooperation meeting, the Rector of UNECON was accompanied by Prorectors Dr. Dmitry Vasilenko and Dr. Irina Egorova, Prof. Dr. Tatjana Nikitina (Director of the German-Russian Center), and Elena Tarasenko, Head of the International Office, as additional members of the high-level delegation.
