Deepening cooperation with the St. Petersburg State University UNECON for Economics
The rectors of Saint Petersburg State University of Economics, Prof. Dr. Igor A. Maximtsev, and Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Friedrich Albrecht, signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement that will run until 2020.
Prof. Dr. Clemens Renker, the cooperation officer at the HSZG, also organized and coordinated the UNECON delegation's cooperation trip with the presidents and colleagues from the University of Bamberg, the University of Erlangen/Nuremberg, the Nuremberg Institute of Technology and the Technical University of Munich.
The agreement with the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences aims to deepen and broaden the long-standing contacts, in particular of the Faculty of Economics and Industrial Engineering under Dean Prof. Dr. Mario Straßberger, in the joint generation, communication and transfer of knowledge in the fields of banking and financial services, marketing and energy management.
According to the current ranking, UNECON is one of the leading universities in Russia with currently 67,000 students majoring in economics and industrial engineering.
The Rector of UNECON was accompanied by the Vice-Rectors Dr. Dmitry Vasilenko and Dr. Irina Egorova, Prof. Dr. Tatjana Nikitina (Director of the German-Russian Center) and the Head of the International Office Elena Tarasenko as further members of the high-ranking delegation due to the great importance of the cooperation meetings.
