Deepening cooperation with the St. Petersburg State University UNECON for Economics
The rectors of Saint Petersburg State University of Economics, Prof. Dr. Igor A. Maximtsev, and Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Friedrich Albrecht, signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement that extends until 2020.
The cooperation officer of the HSZG, Prof. Dr. Clemens Renker, also organized and coordinated the cooperation trip of the UNECON delegation with the presidents and colleagues of the University of Bamberg, the University of Erlangen/Nuremberg, the Technical University of Nuremberg and the Technical University of Munich.
The agreement with the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences aims to deepen and broaden the long-standing contacts, particularly of the Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering Management under Dean Prof. Dr. Mario Straßberger, in the joint generation, teaching and transfer of knowledge in the fields of banking and financial services, marketing and energy economics.
According to the current ranking, UNECON is one of the leading universities in Russia with currently 67,000 students majoring in economics and industrial engineering.
The Rector of UNECON was accompanied by the Vice-Rectors Dr. Dmitry Vasilenko and Dr. Irina Egorova, Prof. Dr. Tatjana Nikitina (Director of the German-Russian Center) and the Head of the International Office Elena Tarasenko as further members of the high-ranking delegation due to the great importance of the cooperation meetings.
