HSZG/IHI students can register for the qualification as occupational health and safety or energy management officers.
In October and November, students, primarily of natural sciences and engineering, at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and students at the International University Institute Zittau can take part in TÜV courses to qualify as occupational safety or energy management officers.
These additional courses take place as part of a cooperation between TÜV Rheinland Akademie GmbH and HSZG. The cooperation is based on many years of collaboration between lecturers at the university such as Prof. Dr. Jana Brauweiler, Prof. Dr. Tino Schütte and Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Sebastian Riedel and TÜV Rheinland Akademie GmbH, Dresden.
Participation in the courses is attractive for students as they are offered at special university prices and students receive the "TÜV certificate", which is highly valued on the job market, as proof of their knowledge and skills. This can be particularly important when starting a career.
Course: Energy management systems according to ISO 50001

Contents: Based on the qualifications acquired in this course, you will be able to analyze the company's energy management system with regard to weak points and potential for improvement and to develop technological and management-related optimization proposals for operational energy management. The acquired certificate "Representative for Energy Management" (TÜV Academy) is valid indefinitely.
Course: Occupational health and safety management systems according to OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001
Start: 02.11.2016, Zittau
Registration deadline: 24.10.2016 (online registration!)
Contents: The course provides qualifications with which you can (co-)manage the introduction of an occupational health and safety management system in your company. The acquired certificate (TÜV Academy) is valid indefinitely. The course is aimed at students on a wide range of degree courses with no prior knowledge of occupational health and safety management.
Scientific continuing education is a growing pillar of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. The ZWT organizes courses for students and members of the university as well as for graduates and specialists and managers from many sectors.
