Meeting point:HSZG in Weisswasser

A fruitful collaboration with the business community, associations, institutions, administrative units, and non-university research institutions characterizes the teaching and research activities at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.

To establish a broad foundation for collaboration, to support the development and maintenance of contacts—including in the northern part of the Görlitz district—and to tap into additional resources, the “Treffpunkt:HSZG” in Weißwasser was set up and officially opened in September of last year.

Half a year later, it is time to take stock: How successfully has the HSZG established itself in Weißwasser—and how are its offerings being received by regional stakeholders? How can collaboration between businesses and the university be structured in a meaningful and beneficial way?

The evening’s speakers—the Vice Rector of the HSZG, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Tobias Zschunke, Dr.-Ing. Daniel Seibt from VPC GmbH in Vetschau, and Mr. Sascha Melcher, Managing Director of Niederschlesische Werkstätten Weißwasser gGmbH, will share their thoughts and insights on these topics and answer questions from the audience in a subsequent panel discussion.
