Tourismusverein Görlitz e.V. cooperates with HSZG

A new cooperation agreement strengthens the partnership between the tourism association and the University’s Tourism Management degree programmes, which are based in Görlitz. The focus is on supporting student research projects and final dissertations dedicated to revitalizing the off-season in Görlitz’s tourism industry. “Especially from the start of the year until around Easter, there are still significant gaps in the tourism offerings in Görlitz for various reasons. We hope that through this collaboration with the University, we’ll gain new ideas and perspectives that our members—and, of course, Görlitz’s tourism industry as a whole—can benefit from in the future,” explains Katrin Bartsch, chairwoman of the association.

Professor Dr. Ute Pflicke also sees many benefits in the collaboration for her students. “Working on ‘real-world’ topics is always a very special challenge for the students. I’m delighted that we can connect them with exciting industry partners and that, ideally, this will also open up opportunities for them in the regional job market.”
