Dear students at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences,
Summer was long and hot—and suddenly fall is just around the corner! Gone are the days of dangling your feet and chilling on the lake. Hammocks and air mattresses have served their purpose. It’s high time to get those summer-weary but good-looking bones moving again. What better way to do that than with a lively dance party in a festive atmosphere, surrounded by the rhythmic sounds of live bands and culinary delights?
Just in time for the start of the new winter semester, the Public Relations Office, in cooperation with the Student Council of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, is giving away a total of 5 pairs of tickets to this year’s 13th Zittau Ball Night on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Zittau City Hall.
The tickets, valued at 53.00 EUR each, are sponsored by StuRa,and we’d like to express our heartfelt thanks for their support!
What do you have to do?
To help us chase away your fall blues, send an email by October 21, 2018, to marketing(at)hszg.de with the subject line “Zittauer Ballnacht 2018.” Rector Friedrich Albrecht will then draw the winners from among all entries and notify them accordingly.*
Eligibility requirements:
- As a contest participant, you must be enrolled at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences for the 2018–2019 winter semester. You are free to choose your guest.
- Attire must be formal evening wear!
Please note that a lavish evening buffet is included with the admission ticket. However, drinks must be paid for separately. Dance experience is not required, but would be an advantage.
For the thirteenth time, Zittau City Hall will captivate dance enthusiasts on November 3, 2018, transforming into a magnificent ballroom. Starting at 8:00 p.m., the big band “Klangfarben e.V.” will kick off the musical journey through the evening, accompanied by actors and actresses from the ensemble of the Gerhart Hauptmann Theater. A varied program will be provided by, among others, students from the International University Institute in Zittau with various salsa dances, as well as historical dance performances by the dance group “Villanella” (CZ). Excerpts from the famous musical “Cabaret”—performed by the acting ensemble of the Gerhart Hauptmann Theater—round out the program.
Foodies will be delighted by a sumptuous buffet provided by the Engemann butcher shop and can enjoy cocktails, coffee, and other beverages in the lounge in the Ratssaal.
The Zittau Ball Night is jointly organized by the City of Zittau, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, the International University Institute Zittau, and the Gerhart Hauptmann Theater Zittau. This now good social event takes place annually in November.
An unforgettable, elegant evening awaits you. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
