Secure a last-minute dual study place now!

Apply now for one of the popular KIA study places at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and start your practical studies in fall 2024!

Dual study is very much in vogue. At Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG), there are also many opportunities for you to study with a practical partner via the KIA program. There are two models for this at the HSZG:

1. training-integrated, dual study program - KIA

KIA is a dual degree program with two degrees: Skilled worker (with chamber examination IHK or HWK) and university degree (Bachelor or Diplom). After two and a half years of shortened training, you will take an examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce or Chamber of Crafts and you will have a university degree in your pocket after a further two years (Bachelor's degree) or two and a half years (Diplom degree).

KIA direkt is a practice-integrated degree program. During your lecture-free time, in the practical semester and during your Bachelor's or Diplom thesis, you will gain valuable knowledge in your training company.

  • Financial and social security through training allowance
  • Practice-oriented, intensively supervised training
  • Offer of free additional qualifications (e.g. SPS with TÜV certificate)

  • Understanding of interrelationships through interlocking professional practice and studies
  • Shortening of the overall training period
  • Additional vocational qualification with chamber examination (KIA model only)
  • Reduction of the induction period when starting a career
