Both during the cross-faculty / trans-faculty come-in weeks and during the introductory days within the faculties of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, the student advisors of the project
"Diversity as a strength"
Compared to previous years, the voluntary involvement of students in the organization of these activities was particularly positive. More than 40 students were active at both locations in order to give our new students an exciting start to their studies. The events were planned and implemented in cooperation withSTURA, Faculty Student Committees and other committed students. The activities were coordinated and co-organized by the STEM team of the "Diversity as Strength" project as well as numerous professors and staff in the faculties, among others. The work and commitment of the volunteer students from committees and projects was once again highly commendable this year. The successful networking activities of the students are due, among other things, to a closer connection between the student advisory teams and the Faculty Student Committees within the faculties . 46 student advisors have taken up their task of providing advice, guidance and support and can now be contacted for all concerns of first semester students. As part of the "Students advise students"student advisory service, further activities will follow in which the new students will be networked with their supporters. In addition to movie and games evenings, a long night of short academic papers is also planned. The student advisory teams would like to take this opportunity to wish all new students at our university a successful and carefree first semester in Zittau and Görlitz.
