10. January 2018

Study where you get good advice!

On Thursday, January 11, the HSZG will open its doors for the University Information Day at both campuses.

Next Thursday, 11.01.2018, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences will open its doors from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p. m. for the University Information Day. In addition to "taster lectures", open labs and the MINT Mobility Trail, prospective students can once again expect a wide range of activities at both university locations.

In the Peter-Dierich-Haus in Zittau (lecture hall building, Z IV, Theodor-Körner-Allee 8), the degree programs of the Faculties of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Department of Electrical Engineering), Mechanical Engineering, Natural and Environmental Sciences as well as Economics and Industrial Engineering will be presented.

University staff and students will be on hand to answer questions as student advisors. During various short presentations on a wide range of topics, the students of tomorrow will have the opportunity to gain an insight into regular studies at the HSZG and see the modern study conditions for themselves. In addition to the lecture halls, the laboratories will also be open for this purpose, where there is plenty to discover.

This also applies to the courses offered by the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. Scientists interested in further studies can find out about the new three-semester Master's degree course in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology for the first time. From the coming winter semester 2018, students can choose from the seven-semester Bachelor's degree course in Applied Natural Sciences with a focus on chemistry in life and material sciences. This will then also be offered as a KIA course with integrated training as a chemical laboratory technician or pharmaceutical technician.

Interested students can find out about opportunities to study abroad and try their hand at the "MINT Mobility Trail" run by the Faculties of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and Natural and Environmental Sciences.

The university location of Görlitz offers no less. In the Hermann-Heitkamp-Haus, G I, Furtstraße 2, in addition to the student advisory services for the Department of Computer Science and the degree programs of the Faculties of Management and Cultural Studies and Social Sciences, there are also advisory services on housing, studying abroad and financing options such as BaföG. General overview information about studying at the HSZG, participation in "taster lectures" and visits to open laboratories round off the program at the Görlitz site.

If you get hungry afterwards, you can eat in the canteen at student prices.

You can find the detailed program here.
