Structural Change and Continuing Education in the Sciences
The 11th DGWF research workshop in cooperation with TRAWOS took place on March 21 and 22 in Görlitz with renowned researchers.
On March 22 and 23, 2024, the 11th Research Workshop of the Research Working Group of the German Society for Academic Continuing Education and Distance Learning (Deutsche Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung und Fernstudien e.V.) took place in cooperation with the TRAWOS Research Institute under the title “Structural Change and Academic Continuing Education.”
Among the participants were Prof. Dr. Olaf Dörner (Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg), Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Jütte and Dr. Claudie Lobe (University of Bielefeld), Prof. Dr. Maria Kondratjuk (Technical University of Dresden), and Prof. Dr. Eva Cendon (Hagen Distance Learning University), as well as staff members from the Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus and TRAWOS.
In addition to a presentation by Prof. Dr. Mandy Schulze on the topic, followed by a discussion on needs, expectations, and participation as well as the role of universities, three current doctoral projects in academic continuing education were presented and further developed collaboratively in working groups on the second day.
