Collecting pens for a good cause

The student environmental initiative is calling for participation in a “pen recycling program.” The following items are being collected:

ballpoint pens, gel pens, mechanical pencils, markers, felt-tip pens, fountain pens and cartridges, correction fluids (ink erasers, Tipp-Ex), etc.

For every pen collected, 0.01 cents will be donated to a nonprofit organization. This year, the money will be donated to the “Dapa Viva” association. This organization is dedicated to protecting Colombia’s cloud forests, and every year, students from the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences participate in this work as part of an international internship.

This collection campaign (by “BIC” and “Terracycle”) aims to minimize the loss of valuable resources and give your writing instruments a second life!
