"Sport by the lake" for body, mind and a good cause

On June 10, 2017, the "Sport am See" event, organized by the HSZGUniversity Sports Department, will take place in the unique setting of Lake Berzdorf. The event will feature beach volleyball (2 vs. 2) and beach soccer ( 3 vs. 3) tournaments. In addition, stand-up paddleboards and kayaks will once again be available for free rental. Music, drinks, and food will also be provided.

This year, a charity run is being held as an additional feature of the “Sport am See” event. It was organized by students in the communication psychology degree programme (SKb16) as part of their Interculturality module, in collaboration with the University Sports Team.

Both students and professors are invited to participate on June 10 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Berzdorfer See. For each lap run, a certain amount will be donated; to this end, the aspiring communication psychologists are seeking both sponsors and runners. The goal is to raise funds so that the children’s book for refugee children, “von Kibbeh und Knödeln, ” written by a student in communication psychology, can be printed.

Currently, anyone interested can view the book at the “Visions of the Future” exhibition in Göritz. A charity run after-party will follow.
