The Summer Camp of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science' successfully enters its second round.

The summer camp, held August 8–10, 2024, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, was the highlight of a student internship that lasted several months. Two female students and eight male students from the states of Berlin, Thuringia, Saxony, and Lower Saxony completed the internship together, which introduced them to career fields in electrical engineering. Before their final stop at the HSZG, the students received extensive preparation through webinars and field trips to the railway operations facility at the Gotha Technical College and to the information center for the new Dresden-Prague rail line.

Four of them will start their dual study program with KIA partner DB InfraGo in Zittau in a few weeks, while another three participants are also planning to study in Zittau, but will not obtain their university entrance qualifications until 2025 or 2026.
