Secure Your Germany Scholarship

It’s that time of year again. Students at HSZG can submit an application for a Germany Scholarship. For the 2018–2019 academic year , many of the previous sponsors have committed to supporting students at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences by co-funding one or more Germany Scholarships.

You can apply for the approximately 10 Germany Scholarships for the 2018–2019 academic year by July 31, 2018, (postmark date) in writing ( not via email), enclosing the following application documents, to the Rector, Prof. Dr. phil. Friedrich Albrecht, Theodor-Körner-Allee 16, 02763 Zittau:

1. a letter of motivation no longer than two pages
2. a tabular resume
3. degree certificate for university entrance qualification; for foreign degree certificates, a translation that is transferable to the German system and a conversion to the German grading system
4. if applicable, proof of a special qualification entitling the applicant to study in the respective degree program at the University of Zittau/Görlitz
5. For applicants making an application for admission to a master’s degree programme: a degree certificate for a first university degree and, if applicable, additional transcripts of records in accordance with the admission and selection requirements for the master’s degree programme
6. if applicable, documentation of academic achievements to date
7. where applicable, internship and employment references, as well as proof of special awards and prizes, other skills, and additional involvement

If the application documents are not written in German or English, an officially certified translation into German must be included.

Applications must be submitted for the degree programme in which the student is enrolled or has applied for enrollment.

The submission of applications can be made to the Rector’s Office (Building Z I, Room 1.56).

The standard award period covers one academic year (September 1, 2018 – August 31, 2019). The monthly grant amount is €300.

Applications not submitted by the deadline or in the proper form will not be considered in the selection process. The basis for the application is the Regulations on the Awarding of Germany Scholarships dated June 28, 2011.
