The international electrical engineering competition “Neisse-Elektro,” launched in 1995, is now in its 22nd year.

In preparation for the event, which begins on March 19, more than 30 students from Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic gathered on February 23 for the first preparatory workshop. This time, resistor networks were the topic.

Following an introductory lecture by the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Professor Klaus-Dieter Haim, the students got down to business in the new labs in Building Z I. Like the tasks in the final round, the workshop was conducted in English—which has been the common language for many years.

In recent years, several prospective students—inspired by their experiences at “Neisse-Elektro”—have found their way to our university. We look forward to continuing this good tradition.
