Royale congratulations!

Brit Knop, a graduate of the Görlitz Bachelor degree programme in “culture and management,” successfully continued her studies at the University of Bath in the field of “International Relations and European Political Science.” Upon receiving her master’s degree on December 7, 2016, she also accepted congratulations from the University Chancellor, His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex.

Brit Knop is from Dresden, where her parents run an auto repair shop. During her studies in Görlitz, she completed internships at, among other places, the German Consulate and the Goethe-Institut in Naples, as well as at the British and Canadian Embassies in Berlin; and—before beginning her master’s program—she held a permanent position at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin.

The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences joins Prince Edward in extending its congratulations. We are pleased that the intercultural study programs in Görlitz have laid the foundation for her successful start to an international career. Starting in January 2017, Brit Knop will work in Jordan for the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ, formerly GTZ), which is funded by the German federal government.
