The agency ASIIN e. V. receives the order for system accreditation to fulfill the target agreement.
In the target agreement with the SaxonState Ministry of Science and the Arts , Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences set itself the goal of having its quality management system for studying and teaching accredited in accordance with the rules of the Accreditation Council by 2020. The formal foundation for this was laid with the signing of an accreditation contract before the turn of the year and the accreditation agency ASIIN e. V. was commissioned to carry out the system accreditation procedure.
Rector Prof. Dr. Friedrich Albrecht is pleased to have found a trusted partner in ASIIN e. V. for checking the conformity of the procedures and processes for internal university quality assurance with the requirements of system accreditation: "ASIIN has already assessed some of our degree course clusters in recent years as part of the program accreditation. The procedures have always been very constructive, dialogical and professional. I am sure that this will continue in the system accreditation process."
As a first step, the university is currently preparing its application for system accreditation. The application is a prerequisite for the opening of the actual accreditation procedure, which will consist in particular of the assessment of the university's self-documentation and audits lasting several days at our university locations. The Accreditation Commission for Quality Management Systems of ASIIN e. V. will have to decide on the application for accreditation by the middle of the current year.
