On June 15, 2015, the Scientific Advisory Board of the Coordination Office for the Promotion of Equal Opportunities at Saxon Universities and Colleges began its work. The members of the advisory board elected Prof. Dr. Ulrike Gräßel, Professor of Sociology and Social Policy at our university, as chairperson.
The task of the advisory board is to make recommendations for the further development of the coordination office and to advise on setting priorities and defining medium and long-term goals. "I look forward to the future collaboration and successful exchange with the members of the advisory board," says Franziska Pestel, Head of the Coordination Office.
With Prof. Dr. Ulrike Gräßel (Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences), Prof. Dr. Irene Schneider-Böttcher (DIU), Dr. Sebastian Schröer (GEW), Dr. Anett Hermann, Prof. Dr. Anja Strobel (Chemnitz University of Technology) and Prof. Sabine Klinkert (Dresden University of Music), the Coordination Office has been able to recruit excellent specialists and experts for the scientific advisory board. As an expression of the close cooperation with the SMWK and the LaKoG Saxony, two permanent guests, Ulrike Jung (Consultant for Gender Mainstreaming, SMWK) and Karla Kebsch (Spokesperson of the LaKoG Saxony), were added to the advisory board.
At the first meeting in Dresden, Franziska Pestel reported on the establishment and status quo of the coordination office and gave an insight into possible topics and future focal points of the coordination office's work.
