The Studentenwerk Dresden has been holding name competitions for the canteens for many years in order to raise their profile and create identity.
Original names for canteens have already been found through competitions, such as "Stimm-Gabel" for the canteen at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music Dresden and "Mensologie" for the canteen at the TU Dresden medical campus.
We are looking for catchy, witty names for the canteens in Zittau (Mensa Hochwaldstraße) and Görlitz, which can also refer to the location or other special features. The names should preferably consist of one word. New word creations are possible.
150 euros will be awarded for the winning name and 75 euros each for the second and third place winners. In addition, small non-cash prizes will be awarded up to 10th place.
The respective winner assigns all rights of use for the name to Studentenwerk Dresden.
All students and employees of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences
and the International University Institute (IHI) Zittau (TU Dresden) are eligible to enter.
