The consecutive Master's degree program "Management of Social Change" is aimed at Bachelor's graduates with a degree in humanities, economics or related subjects. The focus of the content is on transformation research, organizational sociology and management processes in changing economic and social systems as well as empirical social research. Master's students are involved in current research projects at the university and its institutes. The course director is the renowned sociologist Professor Dr. habil. Raj Kollmorgen, who is an expert in the field of organizational sociology and elite research.
The part-time Master's in Gerontology is aimed at those interested in working in the field of elderly care or related areas. The focus is on teaching gerontological theory and intervention processes, but also on the socio-political framework in which social ageing takes place. Students are actively involved in existing research projects and also acquire theory-based knowledge of empirical social research. The head of the course is the internationally renowned sociologist Prof. Dr. Andreas Hoff, who has several years of teaching and research experience at the University of Oxford (UK).
