There are still openings in the Master's degree programmes in the Faculty of Social Sciences

The curriculum for the consecutive master’s program in“management of social change”is designed for bachelor’s degree holders with a degree in the humanities, social sciences, economics, or a related field. The program’s curriculum focuses on transformation research, organizational sociology, and management processes in changing economic and social systems, as well as empirical social research. Master’s students are actively involved in current research projects at the university and its institutes. The program director is the renowned sociologist Professor Dr. habil. Raj Kollmorgen, who is considered an expert in the fields of organizational sociology and elite research.

The part-time Master’s program in Gerontology is designed for individuals working in the field of elder care or related areas. The curriculum focuses on teaching gerontological theory and intervention processes, as well as the sociopolitical contexts in which societal aging takes place. Students are actively involved in existing research projects and also gain theory-based knowledge of empirical social research. The program director is the internationally renowned sociologist Prof. Dr. Andreas Hoff, who, among other things, has several years of teaching and research experience at the University of Oxford (UK).
