The four-semester Master's degree programme in “integrated management” began in the 2015–16 winter semester at the
Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences
The student cohort of the newly launched program is not only interdisciplinary but also international. The nine students consist of four students in energy and environmental engineering, two biologists, two economists specializing in environmental and energy management, respectively, and one agricultural manager. Four of the students come from Kazakhstan, specifically from the German-Kazakh University (DKU) in Almaty, with which the university has long-standing cooperative ties.
The reasons why the students chose this program vary widely: because...
- " ... it offers a great combination of engineering, natural sciences, and management and is very practice-oriented,"
- “... this program is only offered at HSZG,”
- “... this Master's degree programme is very application-oriented and brings together many areas of management. In addition, the programme complements my specialized knowledge with interdisciplinary content and gives me good career prospects.”
Here’s what students have to say about the program: “I feel very comfortable and good in terms of advice and teaching within the close-knit community of professors and students”
"A good seminar group with a pleasant working environment, as well as professors who are always open to addressing problems and questions"
"...I like this program because we have a lot of hands-on assignments."
"I’m very satisfied, especially because students from different bachelor’s programs get a chance here"
"A pleasant, learning-oriented work atmosphere, complemented by knowledgeable instructors who care about my academic success"
