New faculty management elected
Prof. Dr. Uwe Wendt was elected Dean of Faculty W and Prof. Dr. Steffi Höse was elected Vice Dean.
At the Faculty Council meeting of the Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering Management on May 6, 2020, Prof. Dr. Uwe Wendt was unanimously elected Dean by the Faculty Council members. The election became necessary because the previous Dean, Prof. Dr. Sophia Keil, had already been elected by the university’s Senate in March to serve as Vice President for Education and International Affairs. The members of the Faculty Council expressed their sincere gratitude to Professor Keil for her service.
Professor Wendt is a faculty member in the Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering Management, specializing in business administration, particularly business informatics. In addition, he has been an elected member of the Extended Senate since 2014 and serves as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) for Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
During the current term, Professor Wendt served as vice dean alongside his two predecessors. Since the election of Professor Keil as Vice President for Education and International Affairs, Professor Wendt has served as acting vice dean. Due to the university’s lockdown, the election of the new faculty leadership could not take place until now, in compliance with strict hygiene regulations.
Prof. Dr. Steffi Höse was unanimously elected by the faculty council members to the position of associate dean. Professor Höse has been appointed as a professor of statistics and operations research at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and serves as an instructor in a joint degree program with the International University Institute (IHI) at Dresden University of Technology. She has been an elected member of the Senate since 2014 and a member of the Personnel Development Committee since the beginning of this year.
We wish the new officeholders every success and all the good luck in the future development of the Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering Management.
