Prof. Dr. Uwe Wendt was elected Dean of Faculty W and Prof. Dr. Steffi Höse was elected Vice Dean.
At the Faculty Council meeting of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Industrial Engineering on May 6, 2020, Prof. Dr. Uwe Wendt was unanimously elected Dean by the members of the Faculty Council. The election was necessary because the previous Dean Prof. Dr. Sophia Keil had already been elected Vice-Rector for Education and International Affairs by the University Senate in March. The members of the Faculty Council expressed their sincere thanks to Professor Keil for her work.
Professor Wendt works at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Industrial Engineering in the field of business administration, in particular business informatics. He has also been an elected member of the extended Senate since 2014 and acts as the Data Protection Officer of Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
During the current term of office, Professor Wendt assisted his two predecessors as Vice Dean. Since the election of Professor Keil as Vice-Rector for Education and International Affairs, Professor Wendt has acted as deputy. Due to the lockdown at the university, it has only now been possible to elect a new head of faculty in compliance with strict hygiene regulations.
Prof. Dr. Steffi Höse was unanimously elected to the position of Vice Dean by the members of the Faculty Council . Professor Höse was appointed as Professor of Statistics and Operations Research at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and works as a lecturer on a cooperative degree course with the International University Institute (IHI) at Dresden University of Technology. She has been an elected member of the Senate since 2014 and a member of the Human Resources Development Commission since the beginning of this year.
