"Man, Görlitz! revisited"

Perhaps you have more in common with your counterpart than you might think at first glance? "Mensch, Görlitz! revisited" is a traveling exhibition on the topic of social participation and social interaction in Görlitz. In the exhibition, Görlitz residents give an insight into their personal perceptions, wishes, ideas, fears and barriers to spending time with neighbors, friends or making new acquaintances.

The goal of the project is to highlight the social and cultural participation of Görlitz residents through an exhibition and to demonstrate that the leisure activities of all Görlitz residents can be just as colorful and diverse as people themselves. At the same time, however, the exhibition also aims to encourage people to approach others without prejudice and to recognize common ground, thereby fostering a new sense of community.

The “Mensch, Görlitz! revisited” project is taking place as part of the Project Management and Organizational Development module. This collaborative project involves students in the Social Work degree programme at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, the Lebensschule Görlitz AWW e.V., the Görlitz Volunteer Agency, and the SG Integration department of the Görlitz district. This initiative is co-funded by tax revenues based on the budget approved by the members of the Saxon State Parliament.
